I think Im entitled to at least a day of laziness, dont you think?
Ive just rediscovered TV and well, scrapping has never been better so blogging has been taking a backseat. Ive got lots of great news for you though, scrapping wise and every-other-facet-of-my-life wise
I miss my comments though :(. I want to read your reactions when I post my tsismis

Just to sum it all up:
I finished Grey’s. Im in love with Piolo. I lost five pounds. Im on a creative team. Im on two creative teams. Glo is coming home. We are going to Tags - Sonya’s - Caleruega - Bag of Beans..food trip. Here we come. Martha is cute. Counting one to five. Has five additional words. Now knows how to remove pampers when she has poo (a very dangerous situation). My husband tolerates my McDreamy-Peter Petrelli-Piolo Pascula madness.

Ugh. My database comments section is having errors again, so I wont be able to read your comments. In the meantime, please dont comment on any post until I fix this (or my host does, whichever comes first).
Recently, Im getting an error everytime I post an entry but when I check the site, the posting goes through. My blog is WP Version 2.0.5 and I dont know if it’s related or just an error pinging to my server or my hosting just sucks :(.
Be back to regular blog programming soon. Thanks to those attempting to comment - I received 15 already and I hope it was all about Martha being too cute for her own good at the last post, LOL

I have never been to the Outer Banks but there was once a travel destination contest I joined in and one of them submitted the location. I saw the pictures and immediately fell in love with them. I hope to visit soon - Im loving everything near the water these days.

Martha adores Mickey Mouse. She first really got into TV when she discovered Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on Disney’s Playhouse Disney. She has a Minnie Mouse toy she lags around, her only “real” toy and even tries to dance to the Hotdog song from the show. Im so sure she will love Disneyland. I promised Matthew he will be able to go to Disneyland by 2009 - that’s our deadline in processing our papers - hopefully. Luckily, there are tickets you can buy online. Cheap Universal Studios Tickets are also being offered at Orlandofuntickets.com. There are many Disney tickets to choose from, one of them being “Disney Magic Your Way”, where you will be able to choose options and packages from one to ten days.

I think this is the first weekend where we absolutely had nothing planned. I scrapped. Took pictures. Slept. Played with the kids. And Im resisting watching Grey’s because Matthew has scheduled tests next week and I need to be there to help him review.

My back has been killing me lately and my doctor said I needed to exercise and change my sleeping position or get a Mediflow pillow. It is the only pillow sold that has a patent. It has a base of water for support and a polyester layer abover for comfort. It is adjustable to your liking by adding a specific amount of water to make it soft or firm. They currently are running a special promotion that gets you a $ 5.00 rebate on Mediflow. Just go to the Mediflow Website and click on the “Promotions” link at the bottom of the page. Your code is “mediflow-48D98″ and you can download the special rebate coupon which you can use to buy the pillow at any JC Penney store or JCP.com and Target.com.

As I am into digital scrapbooking extensively, I know the importance of having great quality photos, particularly portraits and headshots. I usually use these pictures for emotionally charged journalling. Headshots, great ones, I might add, are the specialty of Doug Hac. He is a photographer based in Los Angeles and has photographed a number of actors - Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway and stars from hit TV shows like; NBC’s Heroes and ABC’s The Bachelor. He has his HeadShot studio open and he accepts client booking and appointments.

So we already have the Rebel, can you recommend any P&S (point & shoot) cameras to have as a second, lug-a-long, backup camera? Of course, when I go out with friends to dinners or parties, I wont be taking the Rebel :P. It wont fit in my bag! But for someone like me who takes pictures of every event, I would need to have a camera. Canon Powershot camera have great site reviews, I want consumer reviews. Do you have them? What Powershot would you recommend?

I have been exploring the beaches and lakes in the East Coast online. I googled Lake Erie as it has the most name recall for me, and I saw this magnificent view of a lighthouse. The picture is the Buffalo Main Lighthouse in Lake Erie, Buffalo. Im pretty sure this is a hot tourist spot and the Pennsylvania bed and breakfast inns are always booked. There is a bed and breakfast in called the Brick House which is a quiant little house with five bedrooms and a central eating area. It looks really cozy and roomy to me, and if I have a choice, I would book a stay there. I prefer inns to hotels when taking vacations as I would want to feel like “home” still.

When I was a kid, I used to see these vendstar gumball and candy machines at the mall. They were everywhere! I remember Id be so happy when my dad would get me two gumballs - I liked getting the pink and orange ones. Now, 20 years later, I see the machine at a different light - these machines that sell candies for a quarter can bring me business and drive in big money! Can you imagine if you would be signing up for exclusive slots to an establishment and have around five machines invested? It may sell cheap, but they sell by the thousands. Vendstar machines are the leading bulk candy vending machine manufacturers in the United States

Most of you have already read my struggles with weight loss. I have said time and time that I will it one micro-step at a time - so that there will be no setbacks. Right now, I have to be honest and say I feel Im still on step 1. My main struggle - cutting off Coke completely is like a yo-yo. I have drastically cut off to 1-2 cans of Coke a day (Coke Light), with days I dont drink at all, but I have to say I need an alternative besides drinking pure water - I hate drinking water (I can drink liters of it but still hate it). My Mom, ever since she hit 50, has been conscious of her weight. She is now into a no-rice diet, no peanuts, and if ever we go to dinners or parties, she makes sure to drink green tea before going to bed. She suggested that I drink green tea - not the commercial type you see, but the authentic green tea.
Ordinary tea, like those you normally see and drink, actually came from the leaves of the camellia sinensis plant. Now, there are three kinds of tea: the green tea, the oolong tea and the black tea. The difference between the three is the stage of fermentation they went through. The leaves used to make green tea are steamed then baked allowing no fermentation to go through, thus the color green. The oolong and black tea have both undergone stages of fermentation, hence the black or brown colors.
The main advantage of drinking green tea is the amount of antioxidants it has. An antioxidant - as you probably have heard, is know to make you look younger, your skin more radiant or even make you lose weight. This is because the primary function of an antioxidant is to bind radicals found inside our body and take it out - those radicals are those that come from smoking, stress, bad foods. In short, all bad components. So it makes perfect sense that antioxidants really make you look young (and that it has been incorporated in most cosmetics).
No wonder Japanese women have great skin :). So I have my green tea - while I cannot guarantee I will like the taste, knowing it is good for me, I will drink it, even daily.
Do you drink green tea? What kind?

I dont have that much jewelry. Truth is, save for my wedding ring, I don’t own any piece of jewelry! I would like to own a piece that is special though - a piece specially made for me, the style of which cant be seen on another piece of jewelry. I want handmade jewelry if given a choice. You can actually have custom jewelry made at this web site, youdesignwecreate.com. They cater to men’s and women’s jewelry and can have name plates personalized or rings, bracelets, or necklace personalized. I have a plan of getting Martha her own set - a necklace, bracelet with her name on it and a pair of earrings. These can fit her until 5 to 6 years old so that she can have a little piece of heirloom jewelry to pass on to her kids when she gets older.

Would you believe that in a week, we are one month closer to celebrating Christmas already?! It’s going to be August next week, one month more and we are going to be officially in the “~ber” months, time sure flies. This Christmas would be special for us, since after two years, we will be celebrating it with my parents again - provided that they dont get called to go out of the country again! We might celebrate in Amadeo where the climate is colder. We would also be spending our last Christmas at the house before we move out so Id like to be make is special. Since I have plans of stopping work, I plan to be a housewife for two months before working again, this time as a nurse. A Christmas wreath or a Christmas swag at our door is a tradition. One of the traditions Id really like to have is to have a real Christmas tree at our place - nothing beats the scent of a real pine tree! At Christmasfarms.com, you can buy real trees online and have them delivered right at your door step. Wouldn’t that be fun?! They have free shipping too, through UPS and you do not need to be at home for the package to be delivered!
