Teens and Help.
Posted on Jun 17, 2007 under Daily Memorables |I honestly dread the time when my kids turn into teens and morph from my sweet best friends, I love my Mom into bratty teens with the I hate my Mom mantras. I had a not so nice relationship with my mom when I was a teenager too. I have stumbled into a site that explores parenting advice on teens with problems and a parent forum too. It explores teenage health, education, teen issues, youth organization, drug abuse, troubled teens, explores and explains their behavior and shares some parenting tips for teenage parents too.
I particularly liked exploring the teen counseling section -Help My Teen - Teen Help Options. I want to know more on how to connect to my kids when they turn into teenagers. They say I need to be more of a friend than a parent when they go to that stage. Teens want to be independent and yet need so much guidance. They also offer Boot Camps and Military Schools.
When I was a teenager I was full of angst. I wanted to be left alone all the time and wanted more of my friends’ time than having some time with my family. But when there were some problems Id go cry and look for my mom. I was so proud to ask for help though, which was my main mistake. If I can relive my teenage years, I would have opened up to my mom more and tried to really look into her attempts to become my friend.
