That layout sums up what happened yesterday, or what was left of my yesterday.
Yesterday was really hard. Martha had low grade fever and diarrheic ricey stools since Monday and was all whiny, clingy and very temperamental. I was supposed to go to work yesterday but of course, as expected, the yayas did not show up from their rest days (yes, they have weekly day-offs which are two days and yet they do not come to work on time!). Conclusion: I was stuck at home with the kids. And I was so harassed! Taking care of a sick teething baby is no fun. Thank God I have a son who is old enough to know what to do and take care of her while I tend to my personal needs (like going to the bathroom).
The 24 hours made me clue in what is really the personality of my kids. Matthew is really responsible and has genuine concern for her sister and Martha knows it. When I was making a p*o, I heard Martha cry from the room, as I very well cannot go immediately, I was surprised to hear the cry taper off in 30 seconds. Upon entering our room, I find my kids at the middle of the bed with pillows bordered around them and Matthew and Martha reading books. Well, Matthew was reading out loud and Martha was tearing a book apart. My son was reading to his sister. How sweet is that?
And can you actually tell that Im so proud because I keep referring to Matthew as my son a LOT?
Summer has just started here, but Matthew is doing summer household task projects which earn him 1peso for every task. He is saving it up to buy a Pokemon Gameboy Advance (smart idea huh?) or Pokemon toys. The sense of industry my son is showing is remarkable. I hope we get to build his trait more as he grows up.
And of course, being with my kids 24 hrs a day yesterday resulted to hundreds of pictures. Im enjoying my xTi so much Im afraid I might be remembered as the mom who forever had the camera to her eye, LOL. But since Im lazy and have no time to upload and resize, just trust that the pictures are good even if I used the auto focus all the time ![]()

uy! BiG Brother na BiG Brother ang dating ni Mato ah. You have reasons to be proud.
I hope Martha is better now. It’s really hard taking care of a sick baby.

Ano ba yan… ikaw sabi mo “Mamang Mama”
Si Alpha naman “binata na”
But I am so impressed how Mato have grown so much in the last year and how much he had embraced and lived the “kuya” role.
I just feel for Martha when suitors start showing up, especially with Edil and his overprotectiveness and Mato with his Kuya abilities.
And here I am the ninang who worries about Martha’s suitors when she barely have teeth! LOL!
