Can you guess how much all of the shoes cost? (Read on to the bottom of the entry to find out!)
I went shoe shopping which started last Friday and ended Sunday night! I actually hired a personal shopper, you know, I can afford one.
And you should know Im all joking on the paragraph above.
What happened was I finally had the greatest but super late idea of having Glo, my super duper nice friend, to shop for clothes and shoes for me in the US with the earnings I got from blogging. I honestly have never thought of it until I decided it’s time to change the way I pathetically dress and have clothes for work I’ve worn everyday five times a week, week after week.
Believe me though, it is not for lack of trying.
It is the lack of anything in my size here where I come from. Just a little bit of history: I have size 11 WIDE feet and size 16-18 in dresses. There are MAXI ones here but 1) They are too old even for my manang taste, 2) They wear and tear easily, 3) They are expensive.
So I needed a makeover – not actually a makeover, but a total rescue. So came Glo who shopped for me (and her, LOL) starting Friday which ended Sunday just so I can have a new “image”
Im so indebted to that woman (More debt coming later in a post! LOL).
You would be FLOORED to know the total expenses – for $112, I got six pairs of shoes, two slacks, one blouse, and a pair of dressy jeans.
If you can give me a guesstimate for all the prices of the shoes, Im going to send you a little something…NOW GUESS!
Glo is not supposed to hint anything! *Mare, silent ka lang!* LOL

Hahaha!
Good thing we don’t wear the same shoe size, can you imagine the horror in my hubby’s face when he saw that everytime we go to the mall I go straight to the shoes.
And I flash the size 11 sticker to his face and I could almost hear a sigh of relief!
But that doesn’t mean I go home empty handed, 4 pairs landed in my shoe rack and im hiding them for a while! Until I can pretend I’ve had them forever!
HAHAHA!

Akala ko having a 9 is huge for me as a filipina.. aba mas todo ka pala.. kailangan mo na mag migrate dito.. hindi ka laan sa pilipinas.. hihihiih That’s my prob nung nasa pinas ako.. pag nakakita ako ng shoes na ka size ng paa ko aba ang panget.. mukhang barko. I always have to ask my sister to send me one. Hindi na rin ako sali.. kse mukhang alam ko saan shop c Glo.. favorite store ko rin yan.. hehehe

Hi Aggie- i’m a regular here, always been a silent lurker, but your shoe entry just can’t keep me from commenting. My guess is that 2-3 of the pairs above came from Marshall’s. It is such a great place for shopping — designer shopping no less. It’s just unfortunate i’m a size 6.5 so konti lang natitira sa akin don. Fave ko din houseware /home furnishings section nila where you could lenox gifts, bernhardt furnitures… the best talaga marshall’s..

i totally agree with the title of this post!!! i have like maybe 80 pairs. my sister has about 2x that. my dad calls it the imelda syndrome. hee.
i like all the ones on the right side.
baliktad naman tayo, i wear a 4.5-5 narrow and it’s really hard to find my size here in styles i like. and yung nine west dito, for some reason, they do not import size 5s! 5.5 smallest nila eh sa states meron naman size 5. hmph.
exciting, new wardrobe. inggit ako.
at maiinggit si mike sa bagong camera mo!

[...] Shopping Part 2 Clothes shopping started last month when Aggie asked for help so I can buy her some decent work clothes and shoes. Armed with her budget and almost similar physique, I barge into Marshalls, Filene’s, Payless, DSW and Sears. We wear the same size, for the most part, just that I’m slightly thicker, top heavy and few inches shorter than she is (I know I dont quite attractive but stick with me here!) We have the same preppy taste and kikayness for shoes and clothes and share the same sentiments for being flat-footed and having “curvy” bods.  This makes shopping much easier as I feel like I’m shopping for myself. I got her loads of shoes (since I girl can’t have too many of them!), some basic slacks and a super cute and trendy blouse in black and white polka dots that I could not resist not getting one for myself. She got this first shipment and have loved the loot. All the sizes fit her to the T and the styles flatters her height! See photos here and here. [...]
