We have two children – a six year old and a nine month old baby. Recently, we were offered an insurance package. We hesitated as money is tight right now but we know getting one really insures our future most especially our kids’. What is actually intimidating is the types of insurance one can have these days! The coverage from death, life, education, car, home, even body, insurance are really overwhelming! That’s why it is really best to compare insurance quotes before you get one. With me and my husband, we thought it over and discussed it really well and we settled on one – we need to secure our kids’ education. That remains to be our top priority. We would not know what would happen in the future and if ever anything happens to us, we need to make sure our children will be able to finish their studies – that is the only legacy we can give them.
We can also take life insurance – but we are wary that if ever our kids will still be minors when we die, the money will just be spent on things we would not even prioritize for the kids. Of course there will be legal beneficiaries for them but we can never be trustful even with family. And you would have to take into consideration that the value of money changes over the year. The one million worth of insurance coverage you got ten years ago will not buy you as much today as 10 years ago – so your insurance coverage, in a way, depreciated as well.
Besides, to be honest, there will be no money left in our pockets with two educational insurance plans!

And I will be scarce for the rest of the week as well. We will be finishing training by Friday and by then I will go on a three day rest day with a return to work time in the afternoons. Hopefully, I can scrap more pages. I really really miss it.
As for now, it will just be me and the kits I can just look but not touch.
I also have a terrible terrible backache because of sitting in front of the computer for too long.
Finally, I was able to meet up with my best buds last night. As always, it is as if we have not seen each other in almost a year. And it is always a comfort, that, even if the one thing constant in this world is change, even if we do, we remain best buds. Friends for life. They are the ones who know me inside out.
Lately, Edil and I have been discussing whether or not we take the risk and become both work-from-home people. I am the first one to doubt whether we can make it or not, but the possibility of being with the kids 24 hours a day 7 days a week is really appealing.
First, we need to invest on an office area and build a virtual office from there. I am such an organized person that I know I should have an area purely dedicated for business.
