Live Earth - the Concert for a Climate in Crisis
Posted on Feb 28, 2007 under Daily Memorables |There will be an awesome even coming: the Live Earth Concerts. This will be composed of seven megaconcerts on the seven continents (can you image?!) and these are for global warming awareness. All processed will go to the Alliance for Climate Protection, chaired by Al Gore, which is going to start a new global program to combat our climate crisis, according to Live Earth communications director Yusef Robb.
The concerts will be held in Brazil, Shanghai, Johannesburg, London, Sydney, Japan and an East Coast U.S. city to be announced. They will be broadcast across the world to approximately 2 billion viewers via TV, radio and the Internet.
In the United Kingdom the Live Earth concert will be held at the Wembley Stadium on the second anniversary of the terrorist attacks that killed 52 people on the city’s trains and buses. They purposely will do the show on that date to fill Londoners with hope on that date.
The concerts will be produced by Kevin Wall, who won an Emmy Award for producing the Live 8 concerts in 2005.
