Archives for December, 2006

Look forward to next year with bright eyes.

Edil will kill me :) But then he doesnt read my blog often so I figured I will take the video down after a week.

Goldilocks Boy. (link taken down as ordered by the Goldilocks boy - hahahaha 01.04.07).
Tell me what you think LOL.

Earning While Blogging.

I love blogging, I really do. I started blogging way back 2003, in Blurty. It started when I was heartbroken and needed a release to pour out all my sap. Since I work at a company which has T3 connection and full access to the web at all times, a friend introduced me to blogging online. I moved to LJ after they no longer did the invites thing. I house my most private and I think, the best entries, there. I plan to migrate everything here, in time. I am still just debating whether to have all the private entries public.

When I started planning my wedding, I joined a group called Weddings At Work and it was customary for soon-to-be-brides to blog about their wedding preps. Since I felt LJ was my private abode, I made a journal at Blogspot. After the wedding, I felt rejuvenated and can you say…liberated? I made a dozen friends which can compete with friends in real life so I decided to keep the Blogspot and maintain LJ.

When Wordpress.com offered free domain names, I moved. Since they have categories and you can import ALL blogger entries. When I had my own domain name, it was a given Id work my own blog.

So after all the blogging, I found a way to earn while doing something that comes natural for me. A friend from the Pinay Digiscrappers Forum recommended Blogvertise. I signed up and the interface was easy. You register your blog, you wait for approval. Then when your blog is approved, you have access to a control panel to see your assigned tasks. You write up an entry in your blog about the advertiser however you want! You can review the site, compliment it, relate to it somehow in your daily life, or even complain about it, and link to the website at least 3 times in your blog/journal entry. And it is free :D.

They pay by PayPal per blog post entry!

So go ahead, register here. If you have more questions, check out their FAQ and their tips on how to get started :).

Don’t hesitate to ask questions :)

I will be blogging later but I just needed to share:

Martha has uttered her first word.

And it’s not Dada :P
MAMA!

And, Edil was the one who told me Martha was calling for me.
I dont know when she will utter that word again, but at least she now knows her Mommah! :P
And to answer your question, she called Mama when she saw me pumping milk :D

Mama: My Milking Cow!

LOL :P

AVENT problem fixed!

Tracback: AVENT Isis pump problem.

Thanks to the breastfeeding mommies over at N@W.

I went to the AVENT distributor at the address here:
LJS Logistic Facility
3555 Magistrado Arellano St.,Bacood, Sta. Mesa,
Manila
Tel: (02)713-6814/17
Open: Mon-fri 8:30am to 5:30pm

And I was able to get the valves for the electric pump. It turns out it can fit the manual pump and it might be more efficient since it doesnt have the ridges from the manual valve. The kind man who assisted me told me that the valve might have had a tear already and it normally softens when it is always left in water (I dont have the AVENT steam sterilizer eh). So there you go! Pumping schedule (and frequency without the hassle) has been resolved.

Thanks N@Wies :)
(Go Breastfeeding!)

By the way, I found out Martha does not want to drink formula milk. We let her drink formula earlier as I only had 4ozs milk left (kasi nga sira pump ko), and she literally did not drink it. She only drank it when she was so groggy from sleep (I let her finish it, sayang mapapanis). Which only means, by hook or crook, I really need to continue pumping. Buti na lang malaki ang katawan ko maraming fats to burn into milk, LOL. I think Natalac is taking effect too. We can eliminate the 1 bottle of formula at night if I can pump just 3ozs more.

AVENT broke.

My best friend is slowly conking out on me. The valve is loosening up and I kept screwing it back on just to pump. Nasasayang letdowns ko, nakaka-asar.

I hope this gets fixed soon, or I can have the part replaced soon. Sayang supply ko, medyo nag-eeffect na si Natalac, back to normal na uli!

Gold finds.

The Chronicles of a (P&)Shooter.

My Sari Sari Store.

Reasons why I will most definitely saving for a camera upgrade next year.

Did you guys watch Pinoy Pop Superstar last night? There was a mini-movie from Goldilocks and a little birdie told me the lead guy is someone very very close to me. :)
It seems we were the last ones who was able to watch it. As early as Friday night, there were a lot of people texting and sending messages via Friendster (where else?! LOL), verifying if that someone very very close to me, is indeed, the Goldilocks delivery boy on TV. Hmmm….that close-up of that bedimpled smile is unmistakable.

One proud moment: Matthew didn’t have a clue that that someone very very close to me was going to show up on TV. So he was jumping up and down and screaming and laughing and embarrassed all at the same time. We were enjoying ourselves teasing him when Matthew was near tears! Seriously! He was crying. Sabi ko, “Anak, bakit umiiyak?” He tearfully replied, “Natutuwa ako eh”..Awwwwwww…That was one proud son moment.

(I tried searching for it on GMA’s web site and You Tube, pero wala pa din eh. It will only air this December.)

  • Ok, Christmassy post: I bought our Christmas lights BUT it’s still not set and lit up :). It is just so hard to work on Christmas stuff when you have a baby who you miss when you are at work. I cant stop smelling her smelly kili kili!!! LOL
  • Matthew’s birthday is on the 21st so we are focusing on that first. After his birthday, only then can we think about Christmas. Since it is going to be their Christmas Party in school, our trip to a zoo (Avilon, or Tagaytay again, or Aquatorium or Mall of Asia) will be after the Holidays na lang. He wants Pokemon deck cards, a Dino Ranger and a PowerRanger SpyGear — whatever those mean. I cant belive my son is going to be SIX!!!
  • I have an infected ingrown toe nail. Im so scared it wont heal soon. I was telling Edil I might have high blood sugar because it takes a long time for my nail to heal and he retorted: “Diabetic ka na pala eh, Coke ka pa ng Coke.” ARGH! In fairness, it’s only my second day of antibiotics, and the 4th day since it got messed up.
  • In scrapping news, I was invited to be on the creative team of an upcoming designer. I was totally suprised she would think of me, and was equally blown away by the design previews she sent me. I have already downloaded some of her kits and I cant wait to work with them and show them off — hopefully I can!
  • Martha has this cute sexy Santa outfit made by my mother-in-law. I am so excited with getting Christmas portraits this year! (Im going to edit this post with her picture later).

And with that, I end this post so I can tweak my blog a little more :). Have you visited my new site? Having my own domain (for free, I might add!) to have my own customizable blog is soo cool! :)

And for somebody like me who writes a LOT, for the first time in my entire love saga with Edil, I was literally stumped for something to say. Heehee. I have loved that picture of him for the longest time, and kept putting off doing it in a layout as I was waiting for the perfect kit, perfect journalling, and perfect moment.

Guess what? There’s no perfect moment. All moments are always imperfectly perfect.

And that’s how I  love him, imperfectly.

I love you, E.

Saang kanta ko pinaglihi si Martha?

SAGOT: We Belong Together (Mariah Carey) :)

Totoo. I listened to it for like 4 months, on repeat, everytime, at night. I made Edil download the mp3, got mad when he deleted it from our playlist, and watched it (even waited) from MTV and Channel V.

Wala lang. Im listening to it right now :)
