I got married civilly.
I pass the nursing board examinations.
LIFE WAS GREAT in 2005.
I just know 2006 will be AWESOME!!!
To say that this year was a blast is such an understatement. Ending 2004 right with such hope towards this year was such a right move.

Got married, finally, in Church. (add: in my dream church, to the man of my dreams :P)
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Well, this entry told me I was about to get married , and I did. The perpetual “losing weight” resolution still didn't prosper ~ as I'm currently pregnant :). Erasing credit card debt was also not met, but at least I can boast of a savings account now!

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004:
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
..and updating.
I think I did a lot today.
For one, I've browsed for the examination dates available for 2006 regarding the IELTS and CGFNS examinations. I have target dates already: here. Now, the only question is where will I get the freaking money when we are saving up for the coming of the baby, Matthew's tuition fee for next schoolyear and the renovation of our room (money needs to be produced within the next four months of 2006.) God has ways, and He will provide.
And I lamely updated my side bar links. I had that template ever since I can't remember and it is beginning to look like it's being lived in by me (finally).
I organized my plans for 2006 as well. Take note that they are plans and not resolutions. I have come to a point that I do not make them anymore. I make plans and define them, make realistic timeframes, so I have the 90% probability of achieving them. I deliberately not included things like: practice random acts of kindess, pray more, eat healthy, stop eating sweets, etc. because all these are constant struggles for me, and I admit I would not be able to accomplish them in a lifetime. I can try - I can stop eating sweets for 2 weeks and gorge after, and pray every single night and still be the same sungit Aggie, so where will that take me?
Point is, I prefer to keep essential things which do not have realistic timeframes but do-able goals here - in my ♥.
I haven't done any shopping yet. I'm not being a Scrooge, and I have the money
I tried going to the mall thrice and ended up going home 30 minutes after (and just buying mango shake from Fruitas, haha!). I HATE HATE HATE CROWDS.
5 Days until the Brat's birthday! I haven't bought his swimming trunks because if the rainy weather will push through, I'll cancel the swimming party altogether. Good thing I have such a great mother-in-law who will do the cooking and a kind father-in-law who will pay for half of it (!). All I need to do is to buy cake and take pictures. Yay!! And schedule portraits for the brat.
Christmas in 9 freaking days! (and I still got to work ~ I wish we have Christmas Vacations).

These are the times when I wish I could still people, their actions, their reasons behind their actions, through rose-colored glasses. Where everyone would be hazy and peachy clean, and innocent. Where you always see something good in them, no matter how small that spark of kindness is.
Today is not one of those days.
Welcome me to the world of the jaded.
And I have always thought of you as my special connection.
I was wrong.
Reminder to Self to Put on a SMILE because of the following:
1. Finally having wi-fi access at home.
2. Having a brand-new (second hand) 5MP digital camera at a tenth of its original price - no scratches, almost brand new. Thanks Glo!. Curious?
3. Opening our first ever dollar savings account. (Can't say I'm turning greener every moment!)
4. Immersing myself into a new hobby. I think it's time to move on from wedding planning, haha.
5. Cooler, colder, cuddly weather.
6. Giving Edil his early Christmas present.
7. Qualifying for a Performance Bonus in the office (after a year of trying).
8. Finishing HP Book 6 in 24 hours — I should have read it when Book 7 is out already, I'm so bitin.
9. Having a new maid - older, slower, but better.
10. Having my aunt help out with some money issues in the house - we are having free food until my parents come home! That'll definitely give our savings a boost ~ all market money, that's a lot.
Too much work and too much trying to learn my new hobby hence the bullet entry. More next time.
Naka wi-fi na kami
And sangkatutak na downloads na eto :).
Now, if only nakalaptop din ako, hahaha.
It's the month of the year again! It's December already!
Things I look forward to:
1. bibingka and puto bumbong! 2. simbang gabi 3. spanish chocolate during mornings 4. my lola's lengua, kare kare and tita's kaldereta 5. never ending fruit/buko salad 6. seeing kids's faces light up when opening presents 7. seeing crispy peso or dollar bills (haha) 8. snuggling during mornings. 9. seeing matthew's face when he sees what we got him this year 10. and seeing edil's face when he sees what i got him this year c”,)
We also had our first Christmas tree in years! I guess I was trying extra hard for us to feel the Christmas spirit since my parents and sister are not going to be able to celebrate with us this year. Matthew loved it and even put the red balls and star on top. He wanted an angel but the angel he wanted costs almost as much as the whole tree, so wag na lang ![]()
I'm also planning on a Christmas tradition for my own family (Edil, me and Matthew) but it got to be something I can do every year so Im still racking my brains on it. Good thing I have plenty plenty of relatives who know how to cook and cook well so I dont have to cook this season ~ maybe if I get topak I'll make the usual fare my Mom makes every New Year ~ steak, buttered vegetables and mashed potato ~ pero knowing me, I might have my Kuya make it na lang, he's way better in cooking LOL.
If only I don't have work and can wake up late each day this Christmas season. Can I have a Christmas break too?
In the meantime, off I slave and work and work so that I can have moolah to spend. Wow, another sabog entry. I just wanted to post Matthew's pictures. Big boy na anak ko, he's turning five in a couple of weeks!
