My phone got lost again (for the third time). Pero this time, it was my fault. I normally sleep on the bus on the way home and I remembered Edil texted while I was sleeping. I distinctly remember his text (as it was kinda’ green!) but I cannot remember if I put it back in my bag. Or it might have been misplaced when I bought bananacue on the way home.
The phone was bulok anyway - a very old 3315. From 3650 to 1100 to 3315. Bummer. Good thing Edil works at SMART so he can replace my prepaid SIM to its original number. Maganda pa naman ung number na yun. The problem is where will I ever get the money to buy a phone again, given our present circumstances……
Being a Secretary Bride (to be)
I have been busy these past few days compiling and reorganizing our wedding folder. I have real folders which I keep contracts and a few tear-outs of ideas from magazines. And I have a USB cable 256MB where I keep everything. Heeee.
So far:
- I have organized our pre-nuptial pictures and have made an Excel folder of all the photos that are nice and a description for each and a label of the shot. For example, the Sunflower Shots, The Lovers in UP Shots, the Autumn in UP Shots, and the White/Khakis Shots. I labelled the pictures where Matthew was goofing around in white the Tolits Shots. Heeee….
- I have sent the list of pictures that will be included in the AVP to Mimi.
- We are finally paid in full for the Church and Veritas Hall. That’s 20K off our pockets. Organizing our expenses makes me want to hide it from Edil, he would be surprised that we were able to spend that much, on the other hand, he would be proud he was able to save that much in 4 months.
- Organizing song list right now.
Shall We Dance?
I saw an ad of a female dance instructor at W@W. And we are corresponding already. Hmmmm….do we have time for a 1-day lesson of the waltz? It’s only 500 for a 1 and 1/2 hr session. I really would like Edil to know how to do it, as what the DI said, lalaki ang magdadala ng sayaw….
Chicken Barbecue and Roast Beef.
Mrs. Rosalie Valera is a blessing. She allowed me to give our downpayment next week (as I’ve just shelled out 20-30K this week) and the full payment for her services one week or even at the day of the wedding. She also amenable to correspond via fax and e-mail and the 295/head can have her two specialties. She can also have lechon at Elar’s w/o corkage - and so with the wine, softdrinks, etc. Heaven sent! I’m quite excited to have the food tasting and the mock up as well.
Now, here are the good parts:
- As for the taste of food, I dont have a problem with it despite the fact I havent tasted any of her food yet. She has catered to many stars and restaurants and even to Malacanang! Aga Muhlach is one of her many regular clients. Why does she not own a restaurant like Via Mare? She doesn’t want to. She wants to be at home most of the time. Plus, Al Navarro, a former FCAP president, recommended her (even if she is not a member of FCAP). Jeck, another w@wie, is friends with one of her children and they have been getting her for their office functions forever.
- The centerpieces are so elegant and tasteful! Her items are not old. Plus, she has taste in flowers. She showed me a centerpiece she would like to use for my wedding, if we can agree on the theme and I was blown away. I wanted white and pink flowers only with minimal green (kung pwede lang lagyan ng brown twigs eh!) foliage.

parang ok yung idea na chocolates as part of your centerpiece (in line with ur motif)..tapos parang pika-pika na yun or dessert.

Ha? Maglalagay ka ng chocolates as centerpieces? Baka mag-gate crash na ko nyan ha! Swerte naman nila Mimi! Inggit ako.
Nga pala, sa Music for AVP… Retro-ish ba? Try “more today than yesterday” by spiral staircase. Yun yung song ng ayala mall. Very upbeat and retro talaga ang dating!
Naks!
