Remember my caterer dilemna? Thank God for the OC-ness in me that I exhausted all possible means before settling for a caterer that is just available. I was about to book one, then changed my mind, interviewed three, and was about to go to the South for it, but was too tamad to do it. So out of the blue, I decided to text Alex Franco. Never mind if he might have forgotten me already since my wedding is still a month away, never mind if I havent been in touch with him. I was desperate! I texted him saying I have a problem and if he can recommend a caterer..so..so. He texted Al Navarro’s number who, it turns out, is a very good soul. He is a caterer as well but was nice enough to tell me that he only does one function a day especially if it’s out of town and since he is booked for a function already on that day, he might not be able to accomodate me. Did the talk end there? No. We talked for close to 30 minutes! He recommended 5 caterers who he swears are good and tested in out-of-town weddings. And dear God, he didn’t laugh at my budget. Acutally he referred the 5 ones within my budget! I called and sent an e-mail to the four. But I still wasn’t satisified.

Thank God for T1 connection.
I was chatting with Laine yesterday and I was telling her about how nice Al was even to the extent of losing a potential client, since Laine was getting Al Navarro for her catering needs too and is close friends with Alex Franco, she told me Al was the president of FCAP before.

Thank God for a slow day at work.
I googled FCAP (Im a natural born tsismosa actually - I have ways of doing research and tracing anybody like you would never know!) and come up with their accredited list. I sent an e-mail to each one of them.

Then I remembered one caterer I cant find thru the web neither at the w@w site not even by dialling 187. So I googled again and came upon a number and a very nice write up in Inquirer and surprise! Tiga Cavite pala sila. Quite excited (because they might be the one I’m looking for), and anxious (because we might not be able to afford them), I went to the bathroom…not because of what you think! Haha!…but because mobile phones are not allowed in the office floors (I just make takas every now and then — my supervisors might read this). I called and a very well spoken man answered. He gave their site, and yes, 1) They are within budget, 2) They have very nice-sounding menu names (I hope they taste as good, Ive yet to find out), 3) I asked Fr. Bosi about them and they have catered at Veritas Hall very often.

I hope sila na.
Im going to Cavite again next week.
Grabe ha, dinaig pa nito ang wedding gown search ko! Bwahahaha!
