Two of the shots in our pre-nuptial pictorials c”,)
(I promise to give the link once I see all the pictures, it's with Edil and we haven't seen each other yet!)
So, LJ, I know I have been neglecting you a great deal, but I have been so busy with everything. Plus I don't want to bore you guys with wedding preparations, which seem to take most of every waking second of my day (nope, not a BrideZilla yet!). So I scream it here. LJ would still be my home, and I promise to go back once this wedding madness is over. (I would still update you every now and then!).
For now, I stop this and will read your entries (I hope I can comment to everyone of them!).

Things that Made Me Happy Yesterday:

1) The proofs of our pre-nups last Saturday was given by Mimi in three days!
WAAAAH! The pic above was a pic swiped off Edil’s Friendster Profile).

2) The final draft of our invites are already approved! I see final output by Thursday next week!
I have talked with Phoebe yesterday and I was asking on the pricing of the missallette cover, gift tags, thank you cards, and poster printing. I might get it all from her na lang. I just need to see the proofs so I would know which pictures we will use and what “gimmick” we will do.
3) Finished drafting the Tagalog Missallette.
Fr. Benny gave me a copy of the Marriage Rites itself and I had to redo most of what was written in a Tagalog Missallette template I downloaded from w@w. Encoding the words were a bit different though. Iba talaga pag Tagalog ang misa. Malalim. Parang when you say the vows itself, you are really enter into a covenant with God and the man you promise to love forever. Parang feel ko pinagawa yun ni Fr. Benny to give the ceremony more importance. And have I mentioned that we have to memorize our vows?!
More updates and more kwento to follow.
Rest day na bukas. Yahoo!

And I am back c”,)
Because I got sick, which is a rarity because I rarely get sick! I was down for a week which meant I didn’t go to work, didn’t do anything wedding-related, didn’t do anything period.
I was glad for the break though. I didn’t touch my pink wedding folder which contained all the tasks and to-do’s I needed to accomplish, didn’t get to to do housechores (ya-hooo!) and I spent needed time with my son.
I went to Amadeo, Cavite with my Mom and Dad (they stay there more often than in Manila now) to recuperate. Since there was no TV there, I brushed up on my affair with Harry Potter and finished Book 4 and 5, slept, ate, slept, ate and played with Mato. They told me I lost more pounds (pero not enough pa din to make me look thin!), pero pwede na din, umimpis ng onti ang aking face (for pictures, hehehe.) Since it was only 30 minutes from Tagaytay, I was in Tagaytay for a day too. And no, I didn’t do any oculars! We went to Mahogany Market (the place of prime beef – best for bulalo!) and ate at one of the suking carinderias of my parents. I loooooved the bulalo! Better than Leslie’s, I tell you! Cheaper too! I got to eat at a place called Magadaragat in Cavite, which basically is like Dampa, you buy seafood, they cook it for you – baked tahong, inihaw na pusit, sinigang sa miso, liempo, rice, rice and rice — ooooh lala! Heaven. Matthew didn’t like the places though. Ayaw daw nya dun kumain kasi dirty (sa may palengke kasi eh, and before you get to the restaurant, you pass by the stalls which sell sea food, of course!). Ang arte ng anak ko. We needed to buy him McDo each and everytime, which was OK, kasi sagot naman ng Daddy ko, hehehe.
We went home Thursday night, and the following day which was Friday, was a back to reality thing for me.
Friday: Went to SM, looked for possible clothes for the pre-nups on the 24th. Met with Ann K. and high school friends to deliver the fabric for her dress at the wedding (she’s the Veil sponsor). Chit Chat.
Saturday: Went to the Rob Place at 10AM with Matthew, since no one was going to look after him. Still finding the “perfect” outfit, came up with none. Was able to buy candles for the ceremony! Pink and brown of course, scented lavender pa! It was cheap considering I was buying thick and tall (and scented candles). I got the candles for the Unity Candle Ceremony, the lighting candles, and the candles for the Secondary Sponsors. Went to the doctor in Congressional Ave, QC (notice the difference in place?) to get medical certificate, went to SM City North Edsa to meet with Edil. Dropped by Pom’s house to give money for the cord (she will be making them for me), and the candles (I’ll be having beads around it, no pictures na lang), and she was able to let me see the earrings she was making for my female entourage. They were dainty and pretty and I got one for my pre-nups as well. Went to Tita Beth’s to borrow the pink poncho Nikko used during her pre-nups (hehehe, puro hiram!). Went back to SM, bought pink and brown boxes for the Bible, Ring and Arrhae at Simple Joys. Waited for Edil up to 9PM. Went to Valenzuela to drop off stuff at MIL and then went home. Hay naku, super lagari, parang gusto kong magkasakit uli!
Sunday: Our PRE-NUPS DAY!
Had a call time of 9AM with Mimi and Karl. Got up at 5AM. Dun ko pa lang naasikaso susuotin namin. Matthew was forcibly woken up by 8AM. Naku, nag mega tantrum! Anyway, met at McDo, ate breakfast, konting chicka. Mimi got home at 5AM that day froma friend’s bridal shower din kaya puyat kami lahat.
Heee. Excited na ako makita yung proofs! Matthew was quite uncooperative during the earlier part pero nung nakuha na ni Mimi yung kiliti nya, hala! Pose na ng pose! Talbog kami sobra!
We were deadbeat by 1PM though. Upon arriving home, we three slept. As in. It was 4PM na pala. I woke up Edil and we went to Printed Matter to discuss with Phoebe the final layout and cost. Nakatulog na naman si Matthew on the way so Edil had to stay with him in the car (pag ginising namin yun, magtatantrum na naman yun eh!). The talk with Phoebe was fruitful. Siguro by end of May, I’ll be done with the missallette and I can conceptualize my cover na. I’ll be having it made by her since I’m only doing 10 pieces. After Printed Matter, it was already 6.30PM. Nagyaya ako sa McDo dahil ayoko ng magluto and there we discussed the “financial strategy” we needed and the priorities we are making.
As soon as we got home, I needed to clean up the place (kasi nawawala ang cellphone ni Edil). He went home and I slept. I woke up late to report for work.
The end c”,)
Sabog entry.

YOU ARE NOT SUPERWOMAN.
My body tells me.
Just two weeks after Nana Au left, and knee deep in wedding preparations, I am coming down with something. Influenza, I think. So as early as yesterday, I was downing 2 tables of 1000mg Vitamin C and drinking kalamansi as water. Decolgen has improved my stuffy, runny nose, but my head still hurts like hell. I’m not pointing the cause to my workload (as complaining I can be most of the times), I’m pointing a finger to the nasty weather. Leche. Aaraw. Uulan. Bwiset. (Update as of 2AM Sunday, I called in sick na. I can’t breathe, I sound very nasal, and I have such a running nose, worse, my rhinitis kicked in pa!)Yesterday, when I bought fabric for my gown in Quad, I had to hail a cab going to Pasig, because (1) it was raining, (2) I knew my body is telling me something, and (3) I was rushing to go home since my sisters have been considerate enough to babysit Matthew for a time I’m not home – not all the time though. So I hail a cab, a nice man-driver, actually, and told me “Ma’am, bawal po dito.” I told him I was really running an emergency and he let me in. We got flagged for a “NO LOADING VIOLATION” which in other cities, would just cost 150pesos, but in the business central of the PI, 750 daw. Hiyang hiya ako kay Manong. I gave him 500, as I would not have money left to go home (Since I got robbed twice in a span of 3 months – my whole bag, mind you ha, I do not carry cash nor a wallet nor my credit cards.)
Arriving in Pasig and talking to Tita Lulu about how the fabrics would go together (layered kasi gown), got me excited and determined to lose weight (FYI, six days in the diet zone, I lost 4 lbs already, sana makuha ng 10 in time for the pre-nups with Mimi this 24th.). I requested to have my corset made last, as I would like to have it low in the back with very sided spaghetti straps, depending on how much weight I (will) lose. Right now, it’s a simple corset with whatchamacallit sleeves – di ko alam eh. She scheduled to have my first fitting 2nd week of May. Im quite confident with her because my uber perfectionist cousin got her for her gown and whole entou for her wedding in the US this October. My sister is actually one of the bridesmaids and she has had a total of 4 fittings, and was complaining, they spent 15 mins poking at her non-existent chest to adjust the corset, and doesnt want to cut the hemline of her skirt without her high heels. Sana ganun din sa akin.
I went to Megamall and Rob Galleria to look for vellum papers in pink and brown to find out most recommended scrapbooking stores just have white. Yun pala, Abbie got hers at National Bookstore. Susmio, pinagod ko pa sarili ko eh!
But I do not want to complain as I HAVE THE INVITES ALREADY! Mock up pa ang lang naman, but I’m very satisfied with the outcome. Phoebe was able to capture my ideas from this site and executed my idea with everything else. Just have to minor revisions courtesy of Edil. Change fonts and have it laminated (scratchproof) which would cost an additional 15p. It would amount to 1200p total for the 80 we are ordering.
Earlier, while trying to modify my ideas and thinking of ways to cut back on costs and still get the lamination part-wish of Edil, I thought of foregoing the sticker labels and just stick cards which would cost around 7 bucks from them. The sticker label is 10 bucks din. So a savings of 3×80=240p, not bad, pero I still need to know where I can cut back on the 1000 bucks. Sayang din yun, kasi Im planning to get my thank you cards, sticker labels for favors and missallette covers from them (kung 20p per 8.5×5.5 = 20 x 10 missallettes = 200p lang! Wala pa akong sakit ng ulo!). Hay budget budget budget….

I love love love the stickers she made for me though c”,) Eto talaga yung gusto kong concept eh – stripes, dots and plaids. Medyo di kasi bagay sa paper ang plaids so I’ll be looking for plaid ribbons na lang, so far, I’ve only seen pink and white ones :c Ang hirap maghanap ng combination ko!
But I was happy that pink and brown are finding its way to clothes and bags, we were looking for possible outfits for our prenups (naks natatawa na sa akin si Mimi nyan!) and there were baby pink and chocolate brown bags at Esprit! I was trying to convince Edil to have this pale pink shirt with brown spiral retro details at the bottom I saw in Dockers, kaso ayaw :c Nakakainis e nung rumarampa-rampa sya, kung ano ano sinusuot nya :c Di bale, may araw pa naman para i-convince sya. So paano, Mimi? Five outfit changes ha? Sabi mo eh! HAHAHAHAHA!
*END POST na nga. Notice the time? Di talaga ako makahinga eh…Makakulit nga ng iba online at mang-stalk…

At dahil may sweldo na c”,)
Things to Do Today:
1. Deposit money to account. If there is anything left. – Meron pa naman. Awa ng Diyos
2. Book slot in Discovery Weekend for the May 6-8 schedule. c”,)
3. Go to Fabric Warehouse for the cloth (I need 5 yards of Satin Crepe, 11 yards of Chiffon and 3 yards of Dull Satin — layers kasi ang gown ko eh.) – I was treated like a VIP when I said the name of my gownmaker, and the fabrics she chose were a winner pala!
4. Go to Tita Lulu to deliver the tela so she can finally work on my gown. – I asked her if she can make my corset last as I was losing pounds pa c”,) She scheduled my first fitting 2nd week of May.
5. Pass by Megamall to look for scrapbooking supplies. Target: paper punchers, paper for the tissue pouches. Got two paper punchers and papers. Was disappointed that the paper I originally want – vellum papers, only come in white.
Scout for Unity Candle, Lighting Candles, Matches, Miniature Teddy Bears, Bible, Dress for the Bible, Arrhae Holder. – I found perfect pink and brown boxes in Simple Joys in Megamall, and pink organza pouches with brown stitching. I was about to buy them out when a nice man named Lance told me they are going to have a 10% off – sale on the 29th. Dun na lang ako. So I just need to look for the right-sized bible, a supplier for the Unity Candle and Cake Server Sets.
Burn Bossa Nova Music from Miguel.
Scout for pink and brown potpourri.

The Start of Wedding Nightmares
I never never want to have nightmares like those again. In summary, eto, my Mom was late, my Dad was holding my wedding bouquet, and nauna ako lumakad kesa sa MOH ko. White! HAHAHAHA!
And siguro, talagang, meant to be na talaga kami ni Edil, kasi in the middle of my nightmare, ginising nya ako….
Conversation:
“Thart, may pasok ka ba?”
“Anong araw na ba?” (Tuliro na ako talaga.)
“Wednesday, Thursday, Friday..Thursday ata…”
“Wala akong pasok.”
“Thart, nanaginip ako.”
“Ano yun?”
“Hinabol daw tyo ng batang halimaw sa taxi. Sinakal ko sila.”
“Ako din nanaginip.”
“Ano yun?”
“Mamya na, tulog muna uli ako baka di pa tapos eh…”
Tawa kami ng tawa ni Edil pagkagising, sobrang antok at pagod namin dalawa kung ano-ano na sinasabi namin! GUSTO KO NA MAGKA KATULONG!!!

GHOSTS
This was inspired by Clarice’s post.
Me and Edil have been together for close to 10 years, since 1996. But we have broken up and gotten back together for more than you can count, the longest break up was in 2003, when I thought (well, since I was hella proud, I wanted to as well) that we would never got back together.
I guess love has always been there and we were really meant to be (story of us to follow if ever I have the guts to ever tell it here..hehe) that one fateful day of January last year he came back and the rest, they say is history. We were older, wiser, more mature and loved each other on a different level. The night we got back together, we both voiced the thought out loud: “Pakasal na tyo.” This is it.
But then, the past will always be a venue for hurt and ghosts to surface. When we separated, it was the first time in 7 years that I decided to have fun (meaning “magdalaga” — I’ve been with him since I was 15), and for him, out of bitterness, of all our issues, decided that he have fun as well. I fell in love with another guy on a different level and he had plenty of girls..as he ventured in modelling and pretty girls were aplenty – it was very easy to forget about me.
We decided to have the skeletons out of the closet talk after a week of being together and hearing all of them made me sick. I knew it would happen but hearing it straight from his mouth was something else. It hurt..a lot. Up to now, when I think about it, I still get misty-eyed. What more when I see their profiles in Friendster? Gawd, kung pwede lang maging biatch, sinabunutan ko na sila (or maybe post their pictures here kaya? hehehe).
With Edil, it was simple. He heard about 10 minutes of it and said, “Ayaw ko na. Ayaw ko nang malaman. Dont tell me anything.” He almost called our civil wedding date off because he thought I was still keeping in touch with him, pero hindi naman.
My whole point? I still get jealous, I still get hurt, I still get upset on little things such as “Why havent you still not posted our wedding announcement in Friendster?” issue (which he now rarely visits). But when he looks at you, you know, deep down, those are ghosts are just…ghosts..haunting you.
And ghosts are harmless when you simply make them harmless too.
I would like to believe ghosts exist simply because you believe in them.
So for now, for me, they do not exist.
(I decided to make this entry to simply let go of issues. Edil might read this, his flings might read this, but I don’t care, mamatay sila sa inggit. He is mine. He always was

Invites – CHECK!

I finally have my invites! Supplier that is c”,). After deciding to make my invites all DIY, I gave in, I know! Kasi naman, 1) I dont have time for it, 2) Im disappointed that I can’t find the chocolate-brown boxes I want! I called RM Boxes and they only do white boxes for minimal orders (meaning not be the thousands), 3) Since I’m clueless about Photoshop, nagkakainisan lang kami ni Edil sa layout (sya kasi ang marunong!).
Blessing in disguise na din kasi when I went to my Tita’s office to bring the tela to be used by her daughter (kanya-kanya na kasi ng patahi ang entou ko – gift na nila sa akin un, I only provided the tela and accessories.), she brought out a potential give-away, a “gasera” which can be used as an incense, and asked me kung OK na invites ko. Sabi ko, wala pa, kasi medyo prinioritize namin yung malakihang gastos. So sabi nya, “Magkano ba yun?” Sabi ko, 50 pesos (on top of my head). “Ilan ba papagawa mo?” Aba! Naglabas ng checque! So, in short, may budget na kami sa Invites c”,)
I just mentioned Printed Matter to Edil and told him that they do custom designs. Out of the blue, I called Phoebe up, ask for directions and told Edil: “Do you wanna go?” Sabi nya, “Sige, tara.”
We had to take Matthew (again, grabe yung bata, kasama na sa wedding preps! Tagaytay to Divisoria, kasama!) and guess what?
I liked their invite samples, even if they were a bit few. For one, the designs were clean, elegant and simple, cheap pa (a full-colored invite 8×5 is only 20 bucks, black is only 10pesos!). Phoebe was very attentive to the “concept” I had in mind, and presented it in a more economical way, plus, Edil liked what she drafted. She can make thank you cards and gift tags too. So if all goes well…I’d be getting her in all of my paper needs pa c”,).
So, in the long run, it all boils down to price, diba?
Read on…
3-fold invites, full-colored (6×6) – 40 pesos
Clear envelopes – 10 pesos
RSVP/map – 7 pesos
Monogram stickers (2×2) – 5 bucks
62 bucks for the invite I really want c”,) Not bad no?
I would have a retro-ish theme, with pink and brown dots, stripes and bold letterings on the first fold like the one on top c”,)
Hay salamat, tapos na.
Approval, Mock, and Reproduction na lang c”,)
Plus I saw a pink polka dots die cut box! Kaso sabi ni Phoebe, mahal daw yun and by the thousands! So what Phoebe suggested is she can make stickers na lang for me. I’ll just get the white boxes from RM Boxes, gingham pink ribbons and the pink and brown dots stickers! Yahoo!!
